“Now we are looking for inorganic waste, such as plastic. Wood debris and coconut waste can be left behind, “said Swietenia Puspa Lestari while at Tanjung Karang Beach, Donggala, Palu, Central Sulawesi, Saturday (09/22/2018). The intense heat of the sun at that time did not become an obstacle for the media crew to take part in the activity.
There is also a Seangle community created by Divers Clean Action that helps clean up. Swietenia had also designated area to sort waste into several classifications. After this we were going to separate just plastic waste that can be divided into plastic food wrappers, plastic cups, and clear plastic,” Swietenia said while sorting out trash.
Divers Clean Action itself is a foundation that was established three years ago. The mission is to restore the cleanliness of the aquatic environment, especially seas in Indonesia, from the threat of plastic waste.
